1. How to
setup online registration for your event
2. Fees and pricing for online registration
3. Payment
process and free perks
4. Getting
started: setting up your online registrationAs event directors ourselves, we know that one of the main
concerns for you
is cost. There is a sliding scale service charge based on a
couple of
factors. Here is the break out:
1 year passed on: 6.25% + $.95
1 year absorbed: 5.95% + $.50
Other rates available for multi-year contracts.
This charge can be handled one of two ways (the decision is up
to you):
1) The money can be taken out of the entry fee or ABSORBED
(we'll assume
for the example's purpose that this event has a one-year
contract)
Example: if the entry fee is $15, then the registrant pays
$15. The 5.95% +
$.50 is taken out of that money, and the race receives payment
for $13.60.
This has become the preferred method for a majority of events,
since it
greatly increases the percentage and overall number of online
registrants
which saves you a tremendous amount of time and hassle.
2) The money can be charged on top of the entry fee or PASSED ON
Example: if the entry fee is $15, then the registrant
pays $16.88. The $1.88
(or 6.25% + $.95) is paid by the registrant (added to their
charge) and the
race receives the full entry fee of $15
In both cases above, there are no setup fees, monthly
maintainance charges,
or even a minimum number of registrants required -- so even if
no one
registers for the event, it doesn't cost you anything (all
credit cards fees
are paid from the service charge).
You may receive discounts on the rates listed above by agreeing
to a multi-year contract. You will have the option to choose
the length of your agreement with SignMeUpSPORTS during the
online registration building phase.
The service charge pays all associated fees with this service
(credit card
companies -- Visa/MC, computer group, etc.). You do not pay any
of this out
of your entry fees. You also do not need to have any kind of
credit card
accounts or acceptance machinery/software -- that is all taken
care of and
checks are sent to you.
