Andrea Ratkovic's Olympic training journal #3

Norman, Oklahoma's own Andrea Ratkovic has joined her new TDS
cycling team in Mallorca, Spain, and she's keeping us up-to-date
on the day-to-day life of a professional cyclist. Ratkovic is
training in Spain for four weeks before she'll return to the
States. She'll provide an updated journal each week on the RTN
web site.

athlete and Olympic hopeful Andrea Ratkovic was injured
March 9 during a training ride in Norman, Oklahoma. She was
attacked by two dogs while training, which resulted in crashing
her bike. Andrea was thrown to the pavement where she sustained a head
trauma (concussion) which required eight staples in her head, as
well as severe road rash on both her arm and leg. Andrea was
taken to the emergency room at Norman Regional Hospital where
she was treated and released. Andrea is expected to make a full recover and start her cycling
season as scheduled. Andrea who rides for TDS-Schwalbe High
Speed Cycling Team is expected to race next week as scheduled in
Redlands, CA. on March 18th in the Pomona Valley Stage Race and
Redlands Bicycle Classic. Andrea former track standout at Oklahoma University has hopes of
making the Olympic Cycling Team in either the time trial or the
road race. The Olympic Trials will be held at the same venue in
Redlands, California on June 16-19th.
