Amen to that! It was a great course, and I enjoyed being able to run with my marathoning buddies as long as possible. Plus, there's a lot to be said for finding yourself on Allen Parkway, at the "24" marker, and only having 11-miles on your legs. I was able to pick up my pace over the last 2 miles, I'm sure in part due to the major improvement in the way I felt compared to all the other times I've been at that spot on marathon morning. I may never run another Houston Marathon if they keep the 1/2 part of the event. There's a lot to be said for being able to walk or even run afterwards.
