Runner Triathlete News [ return ] From Message RTN Editor   7/30/2001 21:44:33 Subject: Mid-Season Triathlon Rankings IP: Logged Message: Multi-Sport Athletes: There were a number of errors in the results that were submitted for the mid-season triathlon rankings. While these errors by the events only affect a handful of athletes, we thought that all athletes should be made aware of them. Off the top of my head, some of the errors include: 1. The Boomtown Challenge Tri sent the 2000 results, rather than 2001. They are aware of their error and will correct it. 2. A change was made in the masters male winner of the Jeff and Brede's Intergalactic Triathlon (this change only affects those two athletes). 3. A number of triathlons either failed to submit their results by the deadline, or didn't submit them in the proper format. If you aware of either errors, please post a follow-up message to the message board. We will also keep you updated on this subject here. Please rest assured that the event directors in question will submit the corrected results before the deadline for the final rankings. However, if you feel obligated, you may want to contact the race director of an event that affects your (please refer to past issues of RTN for contact info). If so, how does this work - do you get points for any race that your entered as a clydesdale, or are you a clydesdale for the whole season regardless of whether there was a clydesdale category in a particular race? In fact, I thought I heard/read somewhere that USAT wasn't going to continue requiring Clydesdale/Filly divisions as official categories.
