Message: We spend a lot of time trying to get people there at the LP. A lot of them this is there first event. It would be nice if you posted all the results. This would give them a sense of accomplishment. They could also share the experience with friends and family. The goal is to get more people at all harra events. Just wondering why you did not post all the results? I know it takes time to do this but remember when you started running didn't you want your name on that list to show friends and family?
I do! And I will never be one two or three but I had as much fun as they did.

I totally agree! I have not run for a while due to injuries & illness and it would be nice if I knew how far I ran, especially since I was in the outside "turtle" lane.

Message: I also agree that I would like to know the distance that I ran even though I did not place in my age group.
This isin't the same as in a distance run where you can keep track of your own time.

Message: Yea! C'mon terlingua, you want participation you need to provide results. You wonder why participation is down this year? Turning aways late registrants and no results do not happy runners make!

Message: Hi, this is Kent Wells with Run Wild Sports Timing (the "chip guys"). We had HOPED to do a test at the LP run this year to see if we could produce results, but "technical difficulties" prevented that. Scoring a race on distace rather than time is not as easy as you might think. My question is, would you like to see that next year if we can do it ??

Message: How could you produce results with the chip for this kind of race? Don't doubt it, just curious?

Message: In producing results, we'd have to start each wave, then clear out the file before the end of the first lap (it only takes 2 seconds, so no problem). Then we'd record each chip that crossed the mats, and count the number of times each chip crossed the mats(with it's time). Multiply that total lap count by the lap distance (400 meters - everyone would have to run on the inside lanes). Then add the extra distance after the last time the chip crossed the mat, and that would give total total distance. Somewhat complicated, but do-able ... we think.
