Subject: Bolwing Green drops Men's Track IP: Logged
Message: This was on RUNOHIO's web site..
The 30th anniversary of BGSU athlete,
Dave Wottle, winning the 1972 Olympic
Gold Medal in the 800 Meters could have
been celebrated this summer. Instead,
this summer will bring the end to the
BGSU Men's Track & Field program. How
times have changed.

Krebs, Athletic Director at Bowling

One RUNOHIO reader wrote the following
on the RUNOHIO's Message Board-
"Be sure to let them know that BGSU is
literally world-famous for its men's
track teams, and that this is the
highest-profile track program ever
cancelled. Tell them that track is
important to you."
"This is a major crisis facing track
and running in Ohio and the Midwest."
"Do your part. Get the message to BG- "
