Subject: Athena/Clydesdale IP: Logged
Message: I entered a USAT triathlon recently where every age and category (including Athena, Clydesdale, Masters, and Grand Masters) was listed. All age categories received top 3 finisher awards. The Athena/Clydes categories were awarded top 3 finishers overall for each, but the USAT age categories (39 and under, 40 and over) for this division were ignored. The race director said he intended to send the results in along this age division, but he chose to not award finishers according to the age division. I found myself (age 46) competing against 20 year olds. I "would have" won 1st in the 40 and over age division of Athena, had that been given.
Is this the "usual" in this category?
