There were 10 year age group chutes, yet they gave out 5 year age group awards. I was very upset when the 1st place age group was awarded to someone with a time of 27:17 and my time was 23:39. I went through the proper chute but was not given a card. Where/when was this race conducted ?? How many participants ?? We're always happy to chiptime races, but small events usually find it's outside their budget, especially if it's trying to raise money for charity. We have to rent the chips (our biggest cost), and the cost of the systems was not cheap. Many of our other expenses are fixed whether we have 100 or 5000, so it takes a minimum number to make it worth while to us and to the race director. BUT, we feel we do a pretty good job, and most participants are happy. Contact the race director with your comments, and have them contact Run Wild Sports for next year's event. We'll be happy to quote them a price. I did speak to the race director after the race and they said they couldn't do anything about the incorrect results. Some of the times seemed pretty good, and I know quite a few of the listed winners, so it must have been at least a fairly popular race.
