Message: Excellent Race! THe hills on the bike were awesome. Only two suggestions for the finish line and refreshments tent. DOn't have runners run through the finish line twice. I think many runners were siked out, and thought they were finished, but only to see they had one more mile. And having no water or refreshments near the finish was tough. It's always nice to have the food and drinks near the finish line, so you can get a snack and watch all the other athletes finish. Great race though! I encourage others to DO THE DOG!

Message: It was my first Tri in after 10 years as a couch potato. I was indeed a good race and a nice course.
The one "fun" hill wasn't really as bad as I thought it might have been and the trip downhill was worth the work. I will definitely do it again next year.

Message: What a beautiful course this was. It was the most scenic triathlon I've done this season. I found everything to be well organized and the staff and volunteers were really sharp. Bravo to all those who helped put on the Dog Ridge. The fire boat was an added bonus at the end of the run and it was fun getting drenched. Hurrah!!!!

Message: I didn't do the race, but I wanted too. They wouldn't let me register the day before. But my GF did it and said it was a blast. I rode the bike course and loved it. I swam in the lake, and it was so clear, just like in a pool. A lake that clean helps me with my open water fear. I too think that the refreshment tent and the finish line were too far apart.

Message: great race... best water in Texas. Only 2 suggestions: 1) put the refreshments next to the finish line so finishers will have water and hang around the area to cheer on other competitors and 2) chip timer - so all us tri geeks can know our splits down to the tenth of a second.
Great Race! Organizers should be very proud.

Message: Great event! One question - why wasn,t the Overall Female Master pulled out of age group winners when the Overall Male Master winner was? Please let me know, because that would move me up a place in the 50 - 54 age group. Thanks for reviewing that.

Message: Will the results be sent to USAT for
compiling the rankings for this year?
We need three thriathlons to be
ranked. This was my 2nd.and the year
goes quickly and the mid-season
rankings are already out.
Thank-you,
Phyllis Provost.
