It appeared to me that this year's race had fewer runners than last year's [at the Mall]. I don't believe the change of location had anything to do with it - in fact, the scenery this year was much better. I think many "half-serious to serious" runners were at the Run Wild Sports event in the Galleria instead. This race had timing chips, which you should consider for those that want them next year.
