Message: OK. Has the way the rankings are calculated been changed??? Du for the Parks was Ark. State Champ.(100 pts.), yet point value for the race only listed as 94.0? Not to be nit-picky, but my true point value very important to me. Thanks.

Message: The USAT/SMW president told us that he is aware that the rankings have been tabulated incorrectly. While I haven't heard from him as to exactly how we're going to remedy this, I would expect that we will be posting corrected rankings to the web site soon.

Each race is worth a minimum of 90 points. The distance does not matter. All state championships are worth 100 points. The regional championship is worth 105 points. For each elite that finishes the race 1 point is added to the 90, with 100 being max. It does not matter how many elites are at the state & regionals. Their point value does not increase.
Your points are based off how far you finish behind the male or female winner. You age group place does not matter. You also must have a current USAT membership card. A one day pass will not get you ranked.
This is how the rankings worked last year & previous years. Just yesterday I was priviledged to see the mid-season rankings that were given to RTN to be published very soon. From what I saw these rankings were totally screwed up & not calculated like the previous years. Maybe the way the races are ranked has changed this year. The biggest mistake was The Strutters Duathlon, short & long courses, where listed under the triathlons. I'm hoping Brad Davison sees this message & contacts me before RTN runs these results.

Message: do these points systems with elites and all apply just to the region or for national rankings as well?

Looks like the race directors aren't getting you their results. Normally this time of year, many more races are included in the rankings. I really appreciate you taking over the posting of these results and rankings. Anything we can do to help the process?

Message: Hey Brad or Lance, Tracy Harrison was awarded as the winner for points for the Fast & Furious Du. Lauren Maule was the actual winner. Is this because Lauren once had a pro-license? I think she gave up her pro-license this year so shouldn't she be awarded the winner for points? Also, some of the other point values look a little strange. I think you might want to check them before they are published. This might really throw people off and might impact the races they do or do not do the rest of the year. Thanks!!
