Subject: Sean what's up? IP: Logged
Message: Hey Sean, since you check this site to get all my secrets I figured I'd post you a note. I guess I need those tri-bike tricks cause I missed my goal by 1:26! but I've only just begun! Hey where do you live? Maybe we could hook up for a bike ride sometime? Send me a note at [email protected]. See ya at the Stampede.

Message: Kevin:
I noticed in the race results from Jeff and Brede's that you were the #9 swimmer in the water. That would put your swim time in the 3:30 range for 300M short course. You must have a strong swim background. At this short race, the fast guys go around 30 minutes or under on the bike and 18 minutes or under on the run. Compare your splits to these and then decide where best to spend your time and money to improve. If you are a really good swimmer, then you might chose races with longer swims to take advantage of your strength.

Message: Hammer, unfortunately I was miss seeded in the I.G. I contacted them over a week before to let them know that the time was yards (3:40)not meters which converts to about 4:06. They could not change it evidently. I was concerned that I might hinder the faster swimmers but I was only passed by one swimmer. Yes I do have a swim background but I have just started training in May. I started tri's for fitness goals and so far they are helping thanks for the advice but I will probably just do events that are within an hour drive regardless of how I fair since I am really only competing with myself, and the physical benefits are always there!

Message: Kent, you can find the I.G. results at www.Houstonracing.com. As far as splits go, I lost my presence of mind to get all my splits, even though my watch was rollin. You will just have to guestimate and go from there.
