Runner Triathlete News [ return ] From Message Tri-Specialties   8/01/2002 14:14:07 Subject: Bike Transportation to Ironman Wisconsin IP: Logged Message: We are trying to fill a trailer with bikes for Ironman Wisconsin. So far, we have 11-13 that are planning on going but we need at least 20 bikes to make the trip. If you would pass on the information to your clubs, etc. we would appreciate it. Our Tri-Specialties trailer is a 36-foot enclosed trailer. We will transport bikes, round trip from our store in Sulphur, Louisiana to Ironman Wisconsin. If you are not close enough to bring the bikes to us, you can also ship your bike to us. We will have it assembled prior to the trip so that the bike is ready for you at the race. We carried bikes to Lubbock recently and those that utilized this service commented about how nice it was after the race to not have to get their bikes boxed back up and try to catch a flight while dragging their bike cases. This also includes transportation of the gear bag. For Lubbock, they were able to pick up their bikes to prepare for the race. Then, we collected bikes and had them waiting for them race morning. They picked up their bikes, raced and returned the bikes to us. They went on to their hotels and on to the airport. Worked out really great. If you are interested, please let us know as soon as possible. If I can just get the word out, I think we can fill the trailer. There is room for more than 20 but 20 is what is needed to pay the expenses of the gas, etc. Once we have 20, the trip will be a go. Until then, our deadline for making a final decision will be Aug 12. If interested, please let us know as soon as possible.
