Subject: 300m run IP: Logged
Message: I have to get ready to do a 300 m run in 56 seconds what is the best way to train for this, and just how far is 300m measured on a standard high school running track? Our track is 4 laps = 1 mile. Thanks, Mike

Message: A 300 meter run on a standard track will be 3/4's of the way around. The easiest way to run this would be to start at the beginning of one straightaway, run the turn and to the end of the next straightaway (leaving you one turn away from completing a full lap.
And if it makes it easier, a 56 second 300m is roughly equivalent to a 75 second lap (or 400 meters).
