Subject: Easy on the Legs IP: Logged
Message: I am in the process of trying to recover from a stress fracture in my shin. I would like to find places to run other than concrete streets. Obviously there is Memorial Park with its dirt track but I live on the north side of Houston (Kingwood area) which is quite a trek and not practical several times a week. I would like to be able to find someplace to run closer to me that has a dirt, cinder, or some other softer surface that has some distance to it. Thanks for the help!

Message: Doug,
There is a hiking trail off of W. Lake Houston north of Kingwood Dr. It is soft. The entrance is at the end of one of those first neighborhood streets just past the commercial area. No lights from what I remember.
