Message: Is it just me or does anyone else think the time for the marathon needs to be put earlier like say 6:00am? Also maybe extending the official finishing limit to allow us 7:00+hr folk to run this thing. I was so out of gas at the half waypoint of the marathon cause there was not enough water and power aid stops on the way. I hope they extend the finish times to 8:00hrs or more so I can finally get my reward.

Message: Yep! and maybe they will eliminate qualifying at the indy 500, so I can drive my Nissan and get my reward.
Work harder to meet the time so the reward means something. If you were gassed because you had to go an extra .5 to a water station then you weren't ready to do the whole thing in the first place.

Message: I scouted the course the week before so I could hide some boiled barley and some encapsulated goat snot, for consumption at the crucial points along the course. Such as the 3-mile mark, and the halfway point. But someone came and took my swag. Therefore I had to count on the HP marathon for support.... we all know how that goes, not enough water stops and the time limit on the race was to short.
I think this year I will be able to break 7:30:59 trouble is I will get nothing for my trouble. Just cause you folks can do it in under 5:30 hrs does not mean I can. Any way I think 80 percent of the runners who break 5:30 are cheating.
Those chips that Velcro to the shoe are wrong. I like the ones that went around the ankle. They were more modern and up to date.

Message: dammit, i agree about those cheeters, but i'm tellin' ya, it's the foil that improves performance on the shoe chips. it helps to transfer that kenetic magnetic energy into non-kenetic magnetic energy. you should use one, it'll activate that chip from a hunderd yards away, maybe more. that could take a lot off your race time. and it ain't cheetin' neither. if that don't get you under 6 hours, just start early by yourself, at like 2 or 3 in the morning. if you have to, just go ahead and start on like friday or somethin'. that should get you to the finish line in time to get your reward.

Message: Yo dog, you think they (HP marathon) will let me start that early? I hope they will.
I started last week doing my Gallowalk program. I am going to get my weekly average up to 20 miles a week before the marathon this year. Thats my plan any way. I have never done high mileage so I will see how the body can take that type of abuse.
Hey are they gona do the Clyd's and Phill's results and awards next year? I hope they add some more categories for the other folks that run the marathon like myself.

Message: whoa there, oncearunner !!! now you talkin' CRAZY, man !!!! 20 miles a week !!! dude, that'll take like 3 or 4 hours, and that's if you're like a WORLD CLASS runner !! who's got that much extra time on their hands these days, especially if you have a full time job ?? (scheming and faking to get your unemployment benefits does NOT count as a full time job, man. You can do that in just 30 minutes a day if you're good.)
i do like that gallowalking plan. running for 30 seconds every mile can get a bit tiresome if you're not careful though. keep it up dude, and you can do it. i'd say talk to the marathon office about starting early. there's a dude over there who is NOT the race director, and I'm sure he could help you.

Message: Oncearunner wants new catagories for the marathon. Here are some I came up with:
1) Fat bastard with no talent
2) Guy with no time to train properly
3) Honest guy who thinks everyone else is cheating(also known as guy on cocaine)
I could go on but I am getting tired.
