Message: Not sure how that message from me (?) got posted, since I didn't post it. In a couple of weeks, I'll announce all the gold medalists for the Athens Olympics. ;)
I didn't have internet access over the weekend at home (darn RoadRunner...), so that caused the delay in getting the results posted until Tuesday morning. The same goes for the Combat Triathlon, which was on Saturday and the remainder of the weekend's events.
The results and photo gallery were posted yesterday morning (Tuesday).

Message: Sorry. My forecasting abilities are limited to sporting events.
Anybody want the over/under line on the women's 3000 at the adidas Oregon Classic this weekend? ;)

Message: Figured out the "mysterious" post from me earlier in this thread.
Notice that the original post is from the 2003 race. My response to that post is also regarding the 2003 race (I posted that response on May 27, 2003).
The next post (from Tiffany on 6/1/2004) concerns this year's race. I'm amazed that Tiffany dug all the way through the message board nearly a year to find the original message. I would have simply started a new thread myself. Kudos to Tiffany for her diligence.
At any rate, that explains how I could have "posted" the 2004 results a full 369 days in advance.
I guess it also explains why I never win the Lotto.

Message: Hey - did yall hear that some old guy won the 60+ age group running 18:18? Amazing - some sort of state record? However, his name is Joel Sanders and apparently has never run faster than 28 minutes. what a cheater! He cheated the rightful winner of the 60 age group out of his award - which I heard was substantial! Money, etc! He is not listed on any of the races on this website so I can't find any that he has actually run. Can anyone verify that he actually ran with his own chip or had someone else running for him? Also, can this be an error on the CHIP timers? Also, why would he accept the award knowing he didn't run it. I think the Astros should give the award to the real winner. We don't need no stinkin Rosie Ruiz's in Houston. If anyone can verify that he actually ran this, then accept my utmost apologies. But, like I said, I haven't seen anywhere he has run any close to this time.

Here is a photo of Joel Sanders running behind Mike Krakower who ran 19:+ for the Race for the Pennant. He is in back of Mike near the finish line wearing an orange shirt with green pants. I do believe he did win the age group legit - his chip time was 18:18 but actual time was 19:25 - a whole minute + difference!? How could that be? If he indeed ran the entire race, he did win the age group.
