Message: Lance, I tried to e-mail you on the info mail link on the contact us site but it apparently did not get to you. I just e-mailed each of the board members re the forgotten part of the region, the southeast Louisiana portion. I originally messaged you about the 11th ranked 35-39 AGer and probably No. 1 Clydesdale, Donnie Jarrell. Donnie was diagnosed with ALS9(Lou Gehrig's Disease) in March and, with deteriorating physical abilities, completed 4 triathlons in April and May. Tomorrow, he will fly to Lake Placid to cheer on his Team Earthquake teammates doing IMUSA while sitting in his wheelchair.
Triathlon in the region also lost the 5th place ranked 30-34 female, Mikah Bodet, to a car. She was permanently paralyzed by a driver who hit she and her husband Glen from the rear while he was picking something off the floor of his vehicle. Crushed verterbrae and spinal nerves rendered her a paraplegic.
How do we get Runnertriathletenews to run stories written by someone a lot more eloquent than I? It seems that if it does not happen in Houston, Austin or Dallas, it is inconsequential.
Thanks for reading my rantings.

Message: Bob--
You're right. I didn't seem to get your e-mail.
Our condolences to those suffering mishaps and illnesses. Very are very sorry to hear about this and will keep all of them in our thoughts and prayers.
On a separate note, we are interested in obtaining some additional correspondents and photographers for our magazine. Your area is one in particular where we would like to increase our correspondents and photographers.
Correspondents need not be professional writers (although that may be a plus). As anyone who reads RTN can tell, the correspondents have a wide range of styles and we try our best not to make them conform to one particular style (in fact, I'm constantly reminded that we don't always make our correspondents even spell everything correctly). ;)
Anyone intersted in becoming a correspondent and/or photographer should contact me directly.
