Has anyone heard if this race is on this year. I realize that they always get the word out so late each year, but they normally hold the event mid-September. It seems they usually draw well over 1,000 runners, so I would be suprised if they didn't put on the event this time around.
Just checking.

I am not 100% sure but thought I had heard that the race was no more.

Sad to relate, The Terry Fox 5k will not be held in Houston this year. The local sponsor and organizer, the Four Seasons Hotel, wanted to do it but the national Terry Fox foundation had put a number of constraints on fund raising, so the Four Seasons backed out.
