Runner Triathlete News [ return ] From Message Luvtorun 9/22/2003 09:24:05 Subject: Run to Read... IP: Logged Message: I participated in another Clear Lake Running event yesterday, the Run to Read. Well, first off, what's the deal with the name? How can you have a name like that and not have any books to browse through in the pre and post race gathering area? Unlike some other courses in the Clear Lake area, this one appeared to actually be accurate. Good thing, because I for darn sure wouldn't of wanted to be out there any longer than necessary in the rain we were having. That brings to mind another question. Why would a race be scheduled on the same day as torrential rains? Can't a little long range planning by watching The Weather Channel prevent this from happening? Is that to much to ask?
