Message: I have been doing triathlons for two years, mostly sprint distance with an occasional half I.M. I have been a USAT member for those two years. Are only certain races counted for ranking? or are all USAT events counted? How do I find the rankings?

Message: Only USAT sanctioned events with results sent in by the deadline,in a format considered acceptable are used to tabulate the rankings. The regional rankings(SMW) use only events in the region(TX,OK,AR, and LA)and can be found at http://www.smwtriathlon.org.
The national rankings can be found at USAT site and will not be final until Jan. but you can find your indiv. results by searching the rankings using your USAT member number. The regional and national rankings use entirely different points systems and criteria to obtain values.

Message: Chris, you seem passionate about triathlons. Why don't you or someone you know write in for election to the board? There seems to be 6 positions open and only 5 running.

Message: Bob, Thanks for the suggestion....I was asked last year,at the member meeting at the regional awards dinner, to run for election this year. And Fred asked(through another person running for a position this year)if I was interested.
I have been told that Oklahoma is currently without a representative, and understand the need for such a person.
However, I am not sure how much time this would require and do it the justice it deserves, and still train to compete at the level I aspire to, and maintain a job, and give my fiance the attention she is owed. I guess that I just don't know exactly what all the board members contribute? And, clearly, Sebastion won't vote for me.

Message: Chris, I think I did more races than anyone in the region this year, and I was assured that this won't impact my training time.

Message: Chris, looks like you're needed. I need you because if you add our ages and average, we still come out with a grandmaster.

Message: Chris your name came up at the last board meeting. Fred thought you would be the best person for the Oklahoma position. This was my first year on the board & it didn't interfere with my training too much. There are few people in the region who were as active as I was. Raced in 17 regional duathlons & 1 out of the region. Attended all 3 board meetings. Officiated 8 races in the region. Raced in another 8 road races in the D/FW area. And I also work for Thruston Racing here in Dallas & that was 10 races. Plus played in 5 softball tournaments during 2003. Also played softball on Wed & Thursday evenings. Typically I work 45-50 hours a week. I am married with no children. So see if I a juggle that schedule, then anybody can make a few board meetings during the year.
Chris please reconsider running. All you need to do is contact Fred.

Message: Chris, it's not too late since we need a representative from Oklahoma. Our by-laws state we need someone from each state. So the Oklahoma position is open.
