Subject: Rockets Run Response IP: Logged
Message: Just wanted to post a response to all of the feedback on the short course. The course was accurate BUT what happened was that the lead car (the police) made a wrong turn at the end and cut off a part of the course. They had the map but nonetheless, the mistake was made. It is frustrating for us as a club because we had an accurate course and coming up short on a course two years in a row doesn't look good for our club.
As for the results, we will contact them and see if they will post the results somewhere. If they won't we will do so on our website.
Funny comments on renaming the race "Rockets around a 5k Run"...
The course/start/finish and the volunteers on the course were our responsibility. All else was done by the Rockets staff.
We will take any feedback we see on this message board back to the Rockets Race Director so if you have any other things that need to be addressed, please feel free to voice them. We will see that they are heard.

Message: Thanks for the response on the race. I liked the race and all the stuff you get for $20. I'm glad to know that it was short, but would like to know how short it was?

Message: The distance chopped off for those that want that info is between 955 to 990 feet short or one city block of 330 ft per side.

Message: I was able to get the results from the Rockets today and I have posted them on our website for anyone interested. They did not record times though. It is merely a list of the top 50 finishers for male and female.
