Message: I ran in another Maribelles run yesterday. It was nice to see all the familiar faces, and it was also nice to see the organizers' understood my gripe about not having any pepperoni pizzas last year. I was only able to have 7 slices of pizza yesterday. When I went back for more, they were all gone!!! I was disheartened by the fact that people were bringing their families down there to eat after the race. People who did not pay the entry fee into the race, were walking away from the pizza table with more slices than I was able to get for myself. Shame, shame, shame!!!!

Message: Sorry about that, but how else am I able to feed my kids... ~Grinnin~
But... I can say that I didn't have the Pizza, My focus was the beer..
Actually the run was great and the weather was even better! Good job to the Maribelles Directors and volunteers!! I'll certainly be back next year... (My kids look forward to their annual pizza!)

Message: It seems that 7 slices of pizza at 8:30 in the morning should be enough for most normal sized humans.

Message: Dear Pizza Guy,
To say I'm not normal for eating 7 slices of pizza after I paid my $20 entry fee is a rather low blow.
Why don't we address all the people who were eating my pizza who didn't pay their $20?
Sincerely,
Luvtorun

The twenty bucks was for a charitable cause...
and the Pizza was donated..
Why must we always whine about trivial stuff..
Thats why its called a "FUN" run..
I mean did you pay the money to run, or to eat pizza? looks like thats a bad business decision and I believe CiCi's might be the answer for you..
Bottom line...
I enjoyed my slice of Pizza, and my 38 cups of beer. The run was a great run and well organized and I know my $20 went to a great cause, I'm certainly going to run it again..

Message: Look Bruce,
Maribelles is a nice family race/bar. There was still pizza available when I left with my kids, my co-worker and his kids, and my neighbor and his kids.

Message: WOW! I've heard of Maribelle's being described as a lot of things, but a nice family bar--WOO HOO! I'm bringin' the kiddos to Miss Wharf Rat!
Back to that VOLUNTEER thread, I do believe we ALL owe it to ourselves to volunteer at races. After building a field shower (not used), working the race, and picking up trash, I tho't Pete and Co. did a dang fine job--we got us a jewel in the Maribelle's 5K! And, in picking up trash, I even got some extry pizza! (Even volunteers get hungry!)

Don't worry so much. My kids only had a bite or two each before they threw their slices away. So they only actually ATE about a quarter of a piece between them.

Message: I ran last Saturday myself. I thought everything was great. Two of my kids birthdays are in August. Next year, I'm going to bring them and there friends to Maribelles 5K to celebrate. That Chuckie Cheese place is to darn expensive.
