This race Run for the Future was listed in one of the TExas running magazines however very limited info has been disclosed. Is there anyone that can confirm Sept 29th at 7 am in Sam Houston Park and how do you register?

This race is an event linked with the Society of Petroleum Engineers Annual Technical Conference. It is scheduled the morning of the conference's last day - that's why it is on a Wednesday. In the past the event has not been open to the public. You can check with the SPE Houston office to find out more.

Ha Ha! I have no idea how I did that double post. Don't start calling me Froggie "Two Times". Anyway, I wrote Alyssa Drury, and here was her reply, her reply:
"The start of the race is located on the west side of Sam Houston Park near the Sabine Street Bridge and Allen Parkway. The course will go west along the Allen Parkway trail past the Wortham Fountain, turn around near Waugh and return. The Start and Finish line is the same."
