Subject: Running, Training, and Shift work IP: Logged
Message: I work a rotating 12 hour shift schedule. This makes my training difficult at best. Was curious if anyone else out there is faced with this same situation. Would like to hear ideas from others that work a 12 hour rotating shift.
thanks in advance

Message: What ideas do you need to help with. I
work shift work and work out and run on
the long days. I try to stay consistent
with the workouts and push myself when I
am really tired, because I feel better
after I work out and then I can get some
good quality sleep.

Message: Thanks for the response, I guess my issue is training times.
I would like to stay consistent as far as time of days go. But it is really difficult to run in the evening, then the morning, then the afternoon. After a 12 hour shift, if I go home its over.
What I have done is to bring my running gear to work and run at a local track right after work. Whether I'm on nights or days. I've started this a couple weeks ago, and it seems to be working well.
I was just seeing what other shift work runners do..
