Subject: Rankings IP: Logged
Message: How are the rankings calculated and which races are used? I see certain athletes who beat me in some races who are ranked below me, and certain athletes I beat above me - is that just a quirk of statistics? Thanks.

Message: Check out home1.gte.net/edrw for best explanations. Seems like you perform well at races where the others don't show up, and vice versa.

Message: The complete explanation on how the rankings are calculated is printed each year in the March issue of Runner Triathlete News.
The article goes into detail concerning the mathematics of the rankings and even explains how you can figure out your own ranking using the formula.
