Fast and Furious F1 Duathlon rescheduled
March 2, 2002

From Jack Weiss:

Due to extremely inclement winter weather on Saturday March 2 and extremely frigid temperatures this morning (Sunday) Fast & Furious has been rescheduled for Sunday, March 17, 2002. Everything else regarding the race will remain the same, location, start time, etc.

A one time packet pick up will be held on Saturday, March 16 at the La Quinta in S. Arlington off of I20 and Matlock from Noon to 7 PM.

On Saturday, the DFW area experienced ice, sleet and snow with accumulations of 1/4 to 1/2 inches, closing bridges and some roads for several hours. Temperatures dropped from 56 to 23 by noon. This morning (Sunday) while it is clear and dry, the temperature is 19 degrees with a NW wind of 14 miles per hour making it feel like 9 degrees.

Ester, myself and our staff felt it was not safe to stage the race under these conditions and therefore rescheduled it. Any questions, please give me a call 817-800-9566,
