Frosty's headed back to Grand Prairie
August 2, 2002
The Frost Yer Fanny Duathlon -- the annual kickoff to the
USAT/SMW multi-sport season -- will be headed north for 2003 as
the event returns to Grand Prairie. And while much of the
weekend's activities will be familiar to FYF participants, one
major change highlights the event. The date of the 2003 event is February 2, and the race will
start at 9:00 a.m. at Joe Pool Lake. Entry fees will be $50
(early), $60 from Jan. 19-26, and $70 after that -- including
heavy duty sweatshirts for all entrants. No relays will be
allowed, however. Online registration for the event will be
available through the RTN web site soon. But the biggest news is that the format for the race will
change. New for 2003 is the change to an F1 format (run-bike-
run-bike-run). This exciting change should challenge all the
participants. The regional awards banquet will be the night prior at the
LaQuinta. Hopefully, comedian Dave Little will make a return
appearance as emcee.
