Complete results from the Riverside Park Spring Duathlon Series #1

The Riverside Park Spring Duathlon Series #1, the first race of the Arkansas Multi Sport Calender for 2002 is now in the history books.

Twenty-five intrepid souls toed the start line amid a torrential rain storm with the temperature hovering in the mid 50's. However, the competition was HOT!

At the front, Todd Hink, Kieth Francis and Chris Pentrancosta all hit T1 with in a few seconds of each other. Well back in the masters race Fred Phillips and David Wonn (pictured) came into T1 almost shoulder to shoulder.

Hink put in a great ride and distanced himself from Francis who eventually finished second. Phillips rode hard and put about 40 seconds on Wonn at T2. Wonn was able to close the gap to 11 secs but could not get closer.

Competitors were heard to say, "great course" and "good support." The Riverside Du Series is a bare bones training series. Long live Bare Bones Racing!
