Temple Area Swim Club is gearing up for the 2nd Annual TASC Aquathlon on Saturday, September 7th at the Hardin Swim Center at Temple High School. The event is a fundraiser for the club and begins at 8:00 a.m.

The aquathlon is a relatively new event and begins with a two mile run followed by a five hundred yard pool swim and finishes with another two mile run. The event is ideal for beginning athletes because of the short run distances and also because the swim takes place in a pool. Experienced athletes will find the event challenging because of the unusual format. The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon, which is the national governing body for triathlon.
