Eleven elite and 36 age group duathletes are scheduled to compete for Team USA on Aug. 18 at the Powerman Long Distance Duathlon World Championships in Weyer, Austria.

Among the U.S. elites scheduled to compete is LeRoy Popowski (Forest Grove, Ore.), who placed 12th at last year's long distance world championship.

This year's course will consist of a 14k, two-lap run, a 76k, two-lap bike and a 7k, one-lap run.

Last year's overall winners were Benny VanSteelant of Belgium and Erika Csomor of Hungary.
