Ratkovic (Norman, Okla.), the U.S. national duathlon champion
and the
2001 winner at McDowell, completed to 3.5-mile trail run, 22-
mile road
bike and 2.7-mile trail run in 1:34:59. Anne Curi Preisig
(Falmouth,
Mass.) was second (1:38:11) and Marjan Huizing (Rockville, Md.)
was
third (1:38:30).
Luchinski (Lafayette, Colo.), also a top triathlon competitor,
won the
men's race 1:24:10. Leroy Popowski (Tucson, Ariz.) was second
(1:26:38)
and Lewis Elliot (Billings, Mont.) was third (1:37:31).
