Sydney 2000 Olympics: Bud Greenspan's Gold From Down Under will premiere on Showtime on Sunday, August 26 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Written, produced and directed by Emmy and Peabody Award-winning sports chronicler Bud Greenspan, this original documentary presents a powerful and emotional look back at individual stories from last summer's Olympic Games.

Team USA gold medal winners Michael Johnson and Stacy Dragila are featured in the presentation.

Greenspan is internationally known for his humanistic approach to Olympic filmmaking. His stories feature both popular and little-known stories of courage, pride and endurance that are often overlooked by Olympic television coverage. Greenspan's company, Cappy Productions, Inc., will produce the Official Film of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City.
