U.S. elites Hunter Kemper, Jenny Marine and Becky Gibbs were all
winners at weekend races.Kemper (Longwood, Fla.) and Marine (Naperville, Ill.) were the
men and women's overall winners at the Cheyenne Mountain Sprint
Triathlon on Sunday in Colorado Springs, Colo. Marine is a
resident athlete at the U.S. Olympic Training Center and Kemper
is a training specialist there as well.
Kemper completed the 750-meter swim, 20K bike and 5K run in 57
minutes, 13 seconds. Marine finished in 1:06:47.
Brian Fleischmann (Jacksonville, Fla.), also a resident athlete,
was second in the men's race in 57:59 and Rory Mackie of
Zimbabwe was third in 59:15.
Susan Williams (Littleton, Colo.) was second in the women's race
in 1:06:47 and Gia White (Peoria, Ill.) was third in 1:06:52.

In California, Becky Gibbs (San Jose, Calif.) took her first
victory of the year at the Interwoven Pro Challenge on Sunday in
San Jose, Calif.
Gibbs completed the unusual two-race format in 1:50:99. Barb
Lindquist (Victor, Idaho) was second in 1:52:10 and Australia's
Michellie Jones was third (1:52:41).
Australian Chris McCormack won the men's race for the second
year in a row in 1:39:45. Australian's Craig Walton and Greg
Bennett were second and third respectively. Andy Kelsey (Los
Altos, Calif.) was the top U.S. finisher in seventh.

Finally, Gina Kehr (Redwood City, Calif.) placed second and
Wendy Ingraham (Alamo, Calif.) placed fourth at the inaugural
Ironman France on Saturday near Gerardmer.
