Greg Watson (Newark, Del.) got back to his winning ways on
Sunday with his victory at the Dannon Duathlon race in Carlsbad,
Calif.Watson, who finished second at the USA Triathlon Dannon Duathlon
National Championships in Alpharetta, Ga., completed the 5k run,
30k bike and 5k run in Carlsbad in 1 hour, 18 minutes, 56
seconds. Chad Kozak of Canada was second in 1:19:37 and Eric
Schwartz (Boulder, Colo.) was third in 1:20:23. International athletes dominated the women's race, as Canada's
Lucy Smith won in 1:28:26. Heather Fuhr of Canada was second in
1:28:47 and Australia's Michellie Jones was third in 1:29:35. Dolly Ginter (Irvine, Calif.) was the top U.S. finisher in

Michael Smith (Brownsburg, Ind.) and Christina McDonie
(Gurnee, Ill.) were the overall winners at the Muncie Endurathon
on Saturday in Muncie, Ind.The race served as the USA Triathlon National Long Course
Championship and qualified athletes for the 2004 ITU Triathlon
World Long Course Championship slated for Sater, Sweden. Complete results are posted at www.muncieendurathon.com/endurathon_001.htm. Longtime USA Triathlon member Marge Stahl Warren was seriously
injured Sunday while participating in the Colonial Beach
triathlon in Virginia. Stahl Warren, 73, was hit by a car during the bike leg of the
race, and airlifted to a local trauma center. She went to
surgery that afternoon to repair her left foot. She also
suffered a broken nose, dislocated shoulder and injuries to her
esophagus. Stahl Warren has participated at triathlon and duathlon national
championships and at world championships as a member of Team
USA. USA Triathlon is keeping her and her family in its thoughts
