Message: Jay,
For those folks who actually ran the race, the price was fair. We got water, we were safe, and we got fed after the race. There was food left for the last person. There isn't much more to ask, except nice awards - and you had those too. The morons who post on this board about the cost, didn't run the race. How funny.
My advice to you guys who complain about the cost of anything is to shut up and go direct a race yourself. Period.

Message: We have first class races in this city and many people don't even realize it. I paid $30.00 to late enter a 10k in Las Vegas Saturday morning. There was chip timing, water every 2 miles, muffins and water at the finish but NO mile markers or split callers on the course. And you know what? That's OK. It was MY choice to enter. I got an accurate time and a safe course. But I can't imagine what some of the posters on this board would say if they showed up at a race with no mile markers or splits called.

Message: Just becuase I dont feel paying 30 bucks to run is a fair return on my money, I am not a moron.
If you want to pay 30, go ahead. Looks like the average run is going to go the way of my cycling/mtbing. Just costs to dang much money.

Message: I feel bad for all the unemployed stingy brats that think 30 bucks is a lot of money. These are probably the same guys that are driving around in cars that no longer pass emission standards and send their children to public schools so they can have a firm grasp on their nest egg.

Message: Memories, ah! The Brazosport 10 Miler was like $15.00, minus $2 if you were a HARRA member. I guess it is all about securing sponsorship and then making the runners the top priority. I was fortunate enough to win one of the featured door prizes a few years ago, I haven't run a race with as many ameneties as the Run For The Arts.
