Message: I have quite a few 4x6 plaques, and I love them! They look great on a wall and don't take up ton's of space. Alot of races don't even do plaques.. just a generic medal with a ribbon.
If the race is well managed and I had a good time, then thats all that matters.

Message: Guys I am really sorry, I am so jealous that tgarr can kick my butt and only trains 20-40 miles a week. So jealous that I had to send an e-mail as him. The size of the trophy doesn't really matter to me because I will never see one in my life, so I will just pretend to be tgarr, because while he has no life a person who pretends to be him must have even less.

As the real tgarr, as I told s-man I really agree with the idea that you get an award and go home, if its not nice enough don't go back to that race. As a class assignment we have watched the arguments, or lack there of develop on this thread. As we guessed at teh start quickly people jump to personal attacks and ignore the issues.

Message: Man, you guys!! wow... some cheap shots on this thread.
Now, tgarr will be surprised that I even replied to this (sorry man) but I was perusing the race results and decided to check out the message board. A bunch of boring tri stuff....and then I clicked on this thread. Wow. You guys are VERY misinformed.
I will tell you ONE fact. tgarr is NOT a middle packer. man, the dude that said he 'knew' tgarr is WAY off... he' full of sh*t. Nice try - but you have no idea...
Dallas, TX in March of 1999: Symphony Run 5k...tgarr finishes second in 15:07 (Chris Strait won). tgarr is a masters runner now...and recently ran 16:05. You guys don't know his name - total bullshit. He's a kick butt runner... and the nicest of guys (face to face) you'll ever meet. Never talks about himself - only asks how your running is going. So he said an opinion...so the f* what? Get over yourselves...SHEEZ.
Scott Huggins (not a middle of the pack runner).
PS - you guys that talk sh*t ought to sign with your REAL names.
Na... that ain't gonna happen 'cause ya'll are a bunch of cowards.

Message: Webster-
Ha! That's pretty funny... Jeff Roth is actually an alright guy once you get to know him... but you are wrong. tgarr is a bit younger than Jeff (isn't Jeff like 47 now?). Nonetheless, a pretty decent guess.
