Gosh I guess I didn't get to break the big news. So that I don’t get flamed on this response by someone telling me I have no proof, I decided I would let race results and luvtorun postings speak for themselves.

Luvtorun as we all know enjoys doing races and then posting how this was wrong and that was wrong. As indicated above he also doesn’t feel he has the time to “help” improve the races that he takes part in. So I will submit first the posts that luvtorun has made on races. Let’s start with this one, the clock was not there. Second, the bearded idiot at the reindeer run, third Run to read, what is up with about naming a race “Run to Read” and then we have Maribella’s run and the need for pepperoni pizza, then we have the blast on the sleeveless shirts as well.

Now for results, if you look at those races we end up with only a few names showing up on all the results. First is Bonnie Jo and Berti Jo, well known to the Houston running community and we also know that Bonnie Jo has the guts to use her name and e-mail. I really don’t think that Berti Jo is the luvtorun bandit do you?? Heck I don’t even know if she has a computer. But I wouldn’t be surprise if she has a laptop and DSL connection to surf the internet because that lady has GUSTO!!!. That leaves us to the final name and thus the conclusion that luvtorun is none other than Bruce Taylor.

So thanks to Karen Thiboduaex and taking photos at the Torch Run a few weeks ago we know that Bruce Taylor was race number 63.

So with no further delay visit http://www.karenthibodeaux.com/eventpage and link to the Torch Run link and put in bib #63.

Elementary, dear Watson.

Thanks Sherlock. I went through a similar analysis and also fingered Bruce Taylor. Like most others, I greatly appreciate the yeomen efforts by Jay, Pete et al and do not appreciate individuals who contribute absolute nothing other than trouble to the sport that we love so much. I certainly hope Bruce pays close attention to those about him in upcoming races.

The clock is the last thing I look for when it comes to a race. And problems do happen. hey luvtorun, maybe next time forget a clock and get yourself an hourglass!

First I think most of the time luvtoruns posts are silly and harmless and I don't want to take the position of supporting his views because I don't. I don't think the fact that the clock might not have worked is that big a deal. However, when he pays money to participate he has a right to bitch about whatever he sees fit. Its your right to disagree but to out him on a public forum while you remain hidden makes you cowards. If you're so quick to out him on this forum and say stupid things like "I hope Bruce pays close attention to those around him in upcoming races" at least have the guts to tell him who you are. Which is more childish and harmful to the running community? for him to bitch and moan about aspects of races or for you guys to spend time tracking his identity down and posting it along with comments like the one above on the net while remaining hidden yourselves.

hey. i read this board frequently and while everyone has a right to voice their opinion or has a right to bitch about what ever they see fit, when the same person slams every race in the houston area and finds fault with every race and then says, "HE HAS A LIFE and will not volunteer at a race" then i say, give him what he deserves. if he wants to see changes then maybe he needs to give back to the sport. lets see him put on the PERFECT race. if he only wants to participate in the races, then bash them because he ( one of the few) did not like something at the race, then shut up or take your licks. if you are not willing to help out, give some volunteer time, support the local events, then you have no right to bash them for every little thing that goes wrong. race directors are not GOD and can not predict every snafu that might occur. but they do a good job and do the best they can and provide him ( and the rest of us) a forum to compete. exposing him was not terrible either. maybe others will look at him now and see him for what he is, a whining, ungrateful, person who takes the sport what he can and never gives back.

Tired of whining that is the same tired cop-out that Mike has, "oh yea well if you don't like it you be on a race comitee". He has a right to piss and moan no matter how silly and insignificant it is because he pays money to enter the race. As long as he keeps paying money to support the race let him bitch and moan and just ignore him. All the posting of his id does it make the others seem just as childish and petty.
