Message: I see we are waiting for race results again... another fine race by Dave Rainey, NOT. How hard is it to put results out the same day??

Message: Look again -- the results are up. I'll have the photo gallery up today, too.
Does anyone have any details on the lady involved in the bike crash? I understand that she was life-flighted out. Hopefully we'll get a good update.

Message: Looks like some of the times are incorrect. Our male relay finished in under 2 hours but was clocked at 2hrs 39 mins..!! The problem seems to be with the swim time. Our swimmer was in at around 14 mins but was timed at 58 mins 57 secs..!!!

Message: To triguy,
It was a fine race. It was well organized, the longer course was challenging, the volunteers were great, and the after race refreshments were super. Who could ask for more than beer, pizza, and smoothies? The race information sheet said that the results would be posted within 48 hrs. It is 11:30 AM Monday and they are posted. I believe that that is well within what was promised.
Before you criticize an organizer, try orchestrating an event of this size.
Thanks to Dave and all of the volunteers for a great event.

Message: Overall, I would say that it was a well-run race.
As for the timing...maybe I'm just spoiled because other timing companies are capable of posting results on-site immediately (while people are still finishing) as well as getting results online by the afternoon of the race. Though the Cinco Ranch people did as they said on the website, would it have been too much trouble to post results at the race site? A training buddy of mine didn't know he placed, so missed getting his award. or maybe that's a ploy to get all racers to stay for awards? harder to do, when you have to check out of a hotel.
The only other negative comment I have is that mile markers on the run are oh, so helpful, for athletes to judge where they are on such a convuluted run course. Even a little cardboard sign on a stake would help. The water stations were not at the miles, because I heard a race organizer tell an athlete that one water stop was at mile 3.5 heading one way, and "about" mile 4 on the way back.
Other than that...really good race...excellent venue, awesome volunteers and police support!! Great post-race food!! Sorry we couldn't stay longer, but without results, there was no incentive.

Message: Excellent race
Well organized and a super after party
free beer - why should anyone complain
only suggestion would be to have a shuttle service for the spectators from the h.s. to the main event

Message: The timing company (Run Wild Sports Timing) was instructed by the race director not to post results until after the awards presentation. Reason- so participants will stay for the presentation. Also, preliminary triathlon results do not include penalties. Why post results when you know they are incomplete and not accurate?
Dave Rainey does a great job with the organization of this event and the volunteers do a fantastic job. I agree with Jay above, for those who complain about trivial issues -try organizing an event this size!
fyi-complete results were sent to RTN and Houston Racing Sunday afternoon.

Message: You can look at it as complaining about trivial issues, or as constructive criticism. I also complimented most aspects of the race.
And if Dave wanted us to stay for awards specifically, why didn't he say so, instead of practically chastising people who were looking for prelim results.

Message: As always, I enjoyed the race and post-race festivities. I've been doing this race since 1995 and it still rates as one of my favorite events. My thanks to Dave and all the volunteers for their efforts.
Props also to my friends on Team Phoenix - good job and I hope to see you at the next event.

Message: Maybe I missed it but milage markers would have been nice on the run course. Overall, great race and I plan on doing it next year.
