Yes Olen is totally out in left field when it comes to knowing how the rankings have been done in previous years. He has only been on the multi-sport scene for a year or so. I've been active since 1985 & this year has been the worst due to the fact that Ed Whitcomb did not get involved till mid-season. That is the main reason I am running for a board position. To have a board member who understands the ranking process & cares about having them done correctly. Ed & I have had numerous conversations about this & we are looking forward to next year working together to have the best & most accurate results possible. So please vote for me...Bronda Starling.

Yeah, too bad I didn't see how good it was in the past, I'm basing everything on what I see right now. And when I say everything, I mean everything I see wrong in the sport. How good things were in the past has nothing to do with now. So it sounds like in years past I would have been pleased with the rankings. But what good does that do for this year? My complaining along with the other upset athletes goes to show that we are not happy.
You can discount my lack of "years" in the sport, but what about the others who are upset that DO have years of experience? When I complain about something, it's not JUST coming from me. I get emails from people asking me to speak up on their behalf.

Thanks for retabulating the accurate results. We, members of dallastrigeeks.org, were a little concern (ok, very concern) w/ the accuracy & validity of the results.
...not to take anything away from any original winners of AG listed in RTN magazine..but it was inaccurate compilation of results.
it's fair that all the USAT certified races gets accounted for in the region....thus named regional ranking. How would people like it if all the dallas races didn't get submitted?
Would it be possible for you to please post the races that RD have submitted results for? We'll or Olen will gently remind the other RDs to submit their results.

I understand what you are saying. I think it's great that you have the passion to run for a spot on the board. I look forward to seeing you there.
However, we are trying to discover why they are so screwed up now. I thought someone was brought on board in August. That is 4 months to grab the data and compile it. Olen, myself and others are tired of being snowed that we don't understand, it is difficult, etc.. Yes Olen is in Left field because no one will explain what the problem is. I have sent an email to Brad in regards to this. I am thinking that if they can't fix it in four months then they won't do much better next year. The rankings and the board needs to be ran as a business. Simple as that.

Where is Brad at? How come that we here so much from RTN staff but the people that are ultimately responsible for this have not come out with even an excuse?
I agree that Ed's website up to last year was a great tool, I personally submitted corrections and he always replied and made things right.
I really think that we're all owed an apology by USAT-SMW officials.

I agree. Why does RTN take the heat for something they have no control over? The region needs to listen to RTN and get the rankings done right so they can publish them. That will make all of us happy.

I was told by Brad to expect new, updated, corrected rankings this week.
I'm on vacation, when I get the rankings I'll post them.

Nope. When we get them, we'll post them as soon as possible. The way things are going, the awards banquet may be very exciting this year. Buy your tix early!
